Bhave Smoothing Treatment Perth

Elsa-Rene Henderer - Friday, June 20, 2014

Well here is a subject i vowed never to discuss again. Keratin smoothing treatments! For those of you in the know its been quite a turbulent topic over recent years and i personally had banished such treatments from my salon for some time now.................... HOWEVER.......

........ quite recently, on more occasions than one, whispers started emerging about one such product known as BHAVE Keratin Smoothing Treatment and after rave reviews from some high profile fashion & beauty bloggers  i began to feel that perhaps my 4 year grudge was standing in the way of me and hair greatness. So i set about finding out what all the fuss was about.

Now let's back track approx. 5 years ago when Keratin Relaxers first came about. It was an exciting time and the results were nothing short of incredible. Woman all over the world with any state of hair were suddenly able to reduce their hair maintenance time in quarters with these so called miracle products and to be honest yes it truly was a miracle. Until the great FORMALDEHYDE crash of 2010 and all of our beloved Keratin products were recalled, never to be seen again. Well i may be slightly over dramatising the situation, they were seen again. The products were taken, stripped of their nasty cancer causing chemicals and released back into the world a mere shadow of their former selves. To put it bluntly utter crap was what came next. No product could live up to the former glory of the original and although we tried and tested many many different brands that boasted of better results and glorious hair, time and time again we were let down and left bitterly disappointed. So it was back to hours of blow drying, ironing, glossing, rolling aaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

Until now. So now we bring you Bhave. These people were boasting that Bhave could offer "as good as" results as the original Keratin smoothing products. And at first i was like "blah blah blah, i've heard it all before". But it seems it's true. in fact we have had one client claim "it's even better than the original".

And here is that happy client. We picked our most challenging curly haired/fuzz ball client (sorry Tanya) to test drive this product. The after picture here is 2 days after the treatment when it has been washed out and roughly dried with a brush and hair dryer. We did this because everyone walks out with crazy sleek shiny hair on the day of the treatment. We wanted to "keep it real" and give you the proper result and how it will look at home, days later. It took a 1/4 of the time it usually does to blow dry Tanya's hair.

So how does it work?

Well its quite simple, you book into our glorious little salon here in Wembley and the procedure takes approx 2 - 2 1/2 hours. We shampoo your hair, dry it off, blow dry in some magic Bhave potion, iron it in and BAM your done.

How will my hair be different?

Ok so this works like a relaxer. Its not a straightener people! So if you have a fro that poofs up about 30cm from your head, then after this treatment it'll be more like 15cm from your head. If you spent an hour blowdrying now it'll be like 25 mins. If you had ringlets, now you'll have a soft curl. Get the drift?

How long does it last?

Up to 3 months people. Please note "up to". Everyone is different, if you wash your hair every day it will not last as long. We package it up so that you have to take home the recommended Bhave shamp & cond to use at home. Using these products will definitely extend the life of your treatment.

How long after the treatment can i wash my hair?

Not for 48hrs people. Yep it'll probably feel a bit gross so be prepared. no washing no styling no putting anything in it, no getting wet.

Will it effect my colour?

Yes it might. So please please discuss with your stylist first. Nothing major but you may want to time your treatment around when your next colour is due.

What is the price?

Glad you asked. We have an introductory special that ends July  31st 2014. For short - medium hair it's $289 and for super long hair it's $349. Both prices include take home shampoo and conditioner valued at $70. So book now on 93837060.

Any more questions? Don't hesitate to ask...... xxx
